Cindy is presently the global co-head of the Sustainable Banking Group at Barclays. Previously, she was head of ESG Advisory for the Americas in the Sustainable and Impact Banking group at Barclays. In this role, Cindy helps clients navigate the ESG landscape to tell their story and identify pragmatic solutions leveraging the capital markets to meet their goals.

Prior to joining Barclays in 2023, Cindy spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently co-leading the Sustainable Banking Group in the Americas in the Investment Banking division focused on advisory and decarbonization solutions for its clients.

As the Global Head of Carbon Markets, Dale Hardcastle leads Bain’s efforts around carbon market and nature-based solutions as well as Bain’s sustainability and decarbonization business in Southeast Asia.

Dale is co-director of Bain’s Global Sustainability Innovation Center (GSIC) in Singapore, an ESG-focused center established to help companies accelerate the time to impact in their sustainability strategies and path to a low-carbon economy.

He also leads Bain’s efforts to connect capital and scale carbon markets through innovative approaches for corporates, investors and resource holders and work with leading conservation organizations and sovereign and institutional investors.

Leila Barbour is Deputy Director, Office of Capital Markets, U.S. Department of Treasury. She is a municipal market professional with over 12 years of financial, strategic and policy experience. Barbour is an expert at analyzing emerging practices, trends and risks that affect state and local governments and other municipal market stakeholders and developing policy and best practice recommendations. She has extensive experience as a public finance investment banker and municipal adviser, assisting state and local governments as part of the financing process for municipal projects. Barbour holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Noah is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Carbon Management for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management. Noah came to FECM from Carbon180, which he co-founded to catalyze the development of a portfolio of carbon removal solutions. Prior to that, Noah was an economic and management consultant with Accenture and ICF international, where he gained experience in many fields including environmental market and carbon offset modeling and renewable and fossil energy power plants valuations. Noah received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and his BA from the University of Virginia.

Martin Hession is a policy advisor at the Commission of the European Union, and negotiator for the EU and its Members States on Article 6 in the UNFCCC for the past 10 years. He is also Visiting Researcher at University College, London, Law School. He is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin (Legal Science) 1987, and of the London Economics 1988 (Natural Resources and Environmental Law). Qualified as a Barrister to the English Bar in 1991 (Lincoln’s Inn), he has been a policy advisor at the UK Department for Climate Change (DECC), and at the Department for Environmental, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) 2002-2013, working there on international carbon markets, and representing the UK on elements of the first Carbon Market Legislation.

Max Scher serves as a corporate sustainability executive at Salesforce, focused on delivering insights and programs at the frontier of corporate climate action, and guiding the companies climate strategy. Since joining the company in 2015 he has also lead programs which leverage the companies capital and influence such as for policy advocacy, coalition building (such as CEBA, 1t.org, BASCS, FMC), and beyond value chain funding (i.e. carbon markets, and renewable power purchasing). Prior to Salesforce Max worked on climate action at other companies and non profits after studying environmental economics. He’s thriving when solving something new, and complex that makes the world a better place.

Chris is responsible for carbon markets trading strategy and product development for Standard Chartered. Chris is a member of the Climate Impact X (CIX) management team, co-lead on the SMI’s FSTF carbon markets working group and serves as a member of the CPLC’s Advisory Group. Chris has over 25 years of commodity markets experience and was previously at Barclays where he was Global Head of Environmental Markets Sales and before that at Merrill Lynch where he set up their carbon emissions trading business. He was a founder member of the Carbon Markets and Investors Association (CMIA) and was the Chair of the Power Trading Forum a division of the Futures and Options Association (FOA).

Prior to joining NCCS, Benedict worked on climate, sustainability and energy, in various government agencies such as Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade and Industry, as well as the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources. Benedict has been actively involved in carbon markets work. He was the Vice-Chair of the ICAO Technical Advisory Body, which is responsible for assessing carbon credit programs for eligibility under CORSIA. Before that, he co-chaired the Emissions Unit Criteria sub-group, which drafted the eligibility criteria for carbon credits under CORSIA. He has recently been elected into the newly formed UNFCCC Article 6.4 Supervisory Body. On top of these multilateral responsibilities,Benedict oversees Singapore’s carbon markets strategy and policy. Benedict graduated from Oxford University with a Masters of Arts in Economics & Management, and a Masters of Science in Development Economics.

Sean is a joint leader of McKinsey's global work in sustainable investing and advises investors on sustainability, climate risk, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Sean also works with high-growth sustainable companies to accelerate scale, value, and impact.

Sean’s recent client projects include leading an enterprise-wide net-zero strategy for a large North American institutional investor, assessing portfolio decarbonization pathways across top emitting assets and defining operating models to deliver; and working with leading investors to incubate and launch new climate-tech ventures.

Ana has over 30 years of experience in financial services and a detailed understanding of the alternative investment space across real assets and hedge funds, honed over fifteen years of leadership at Dexion Capital. She has a track record of building businesses shaped by the interests of shareholders and investors, with Dexion being recognised as leaders in corporate governance in the London-listed, closed-end company structure for alternative asset classes, raising over $16 billion in funds for 300 buy-side client groups. Ana established partnerships with key clients both in the provision of white label funds and in the creation of specialist, real-asset joint ventures, including US and European agricultural interests, social housing, and renewable energy.

Marisa Hamsik joined Chevron New Energies in January 2022 as the General Manager of Carbon Markets Strategy & Market Insights with almost 20 years of experience in carbon markets, climate policy and sustainable investment.  Working at the intersection impact investment, corporate strategy and climate, she brings expertise in lower carbon pathways for the energy transition and the role of technology.

Sonia Battikh joined Citi in September 2021 as the Global Head of Carbon Offsets Trading. She has 20 years of trading experience across equities and commodities derivatives within Banks and Trading houses. Sonia started her career in 2003 as a Vanilla Equity derivative trader on European Indices in Commerzbank. In 2007, she joined the Exotic Commodity trading desk where she focused on oil (crude and distillates). During her career, she gained expertise in other commodities via trading Precious metals, Base metals, Agricultural commodities, Emissions (EUA) and Carbon Offsets. Before joining Citi, she was with Shell for close to 6 years, where she initiated the Carbon Offsets business. Sonia holds a Masters in Financial Markets, Commodities and Risk Management from Paris Dauphine University.

Masao Koyama has extensive experience in various roles and industries. As Head of Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) in the Next-Generation Energy Business Group at Mitsubishi Corporation, he successfully launched the CDR business from scratch and has been leading investments and business developments in CDR technologies. In addition, he is Co-Founder of the NextGen CDR Facility, a groundbreaking global advance market commitment facility aiming to purchase over 1 million CDRs by 2025. Koyama’s expertise extends to carbon management strategy as Deputy General Manager of the Carbon Management Team at Mitsubishi Corporation. He actively contributes to national initiatives, serving as a member of the Study Group on Preparation of Carbon Credits for Carbon Neutrality under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and also as a member of the Carbon Credits Committee under the Financial Services Agency, the Japanese Government. Prior to these roles, he held positions in business development and M&A in the mining division of Mitsubishi Development Pty Ltd and gained valuable on-site training as a mining engineer at Rio Tinto. His early experience includes working as a sales representative for battery raw materials at Mitsubishi Corporation.He have been selected as the Young Global Leaders Class of 2024 under World Economic Forum.

Diego Justiniano is the CEO of Exomad, a visionary Bolivian entrepreneur with an outstanding career. He is a prominent figure in the sustainable forestry sector and a strong advocate for Bolivian exports.

A graduate in Finance from the University of Miami, Diego founded Exomad in 2011 to bring sustainability, reliability, and world-class quality to Bolivia's wood exporting industry. In response to the challenges posed by climate change, he created the Exomad Green division in 2022 to enhance sustainability across the Bolivian forestry industry.

Diego served as President of the Bolivian Forestry Chamber from 2019 to 2022 and as Vice President from 2017 to 2019 and 2022 to 2024. During his tenure, he unified national forestry operators, established cooperation agreements, reversed the sector's negative trade balance, consolidated new external markets, and reactivated internal demand for national wood.

He has also held active roles in the industrial sector, including serving as a Board Member and Vice President of the Bolivian Institute of Foreign Trade (IBCE) and as aboard member of the Federation of Private Companies of Santa Cruz.

Diego's passion for innovation, commitment to sustainability, and love for his country have led Exomad to become a local and international success story in the wood industry and, more recently, in the CDR space.

Adrienne Gormley is the COO at Sylvera, a leading carbon data firm. In her role, Adrienne leads Sylvera’s corporate and operational teams and strategic company initiatives. Adrienne brings over 25 years of operations, strategy, and commercial experience to Sylvera.

Throughout her career, Adrienne has been at the forefront of new technologies, international expansion and scale at global technology companies, including Dropbox and Google. Prior to Sylvera, she co-founded and was the CEO of Setforth, an acquisition and growth company for SaaS businesses. Prior, she was the COO of N26 and the VP of Global Customer Experience and Head of EMEA at Dropbox, responsible for global customer strategy and operations as well as for the EMEA region.

Adrienne is also a board director on multiple high-growth European startup board, including Epidemic Sound, Monta and Pleo. She holds a Dir of Corporate Governance from INSEAD as well as a B.Sc. from Trinity College, Dublin.

Allister Furey is the CEO and co-founder of a leading carbon data platform. Prior to Sylvera, he was a venture partner at Entrepreneur First. He also was a co-founder and CTO of KPS, a leading UK wind energy technology company.  He began his career as a consultant for Bain & Company.

Allister holds an MBA from London Business School, and a PhD in computational neuroscience and robotics from University of Sussex, where he focused on optimising control of wind energy systems.

Ben Rattenbury is the VP of Policy at , a leading carbon data firm. In his role, Ben forges partnerships with governments, regulators, and key industry initiatives to shape policy that supports investment into real climate action.

Ben has worked on carbon markets and broader climate policy since 2012, when he interned with the UNFCCC and then ran a consulting project for the World Bank's Carbon Finance Unit. He then spent seven years working for the UK Government, including as Head of Global Carbon Markets. In 2020 he became the first climate lead at UK Finance, a UK financial services sector trade association, working to shape green finance, before joining Sylvera in October 2021.

Ben holds a Master’s of Public Administration from Columbia University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Jess Roberts is the VP of Ratings at a leading carbon data platform. In her role, Jess and her teams design ratings frameworks, processes and systems, as well as produce ratings for projects on the carbon markets. During her tenure at Sylvera, she has held multiple roles across the company to help develop its proprietary approach to carbon data.

Prior to Sylvera, Jess was a Geospatial Advisor at Resilience Constellation, where she helped research, conceptualise and design products that helped improve climate resilience monitoring, management, mitigation and modelling.

Jess holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Physical Geography and a Master of Science in Geographical Information Science from University of Edinburgh.

Annalise Downey is Senior Manager of the Technical Climate Consulting team at Sylvera, a carbon data provider. In her role, Annalise leads the technical consulting team to help clients and partners navigate risk in the voluntary carbon market and ensure their carbon strategy drives real climate impact. She began at Sylvera on the ratings team working to develop the firm’s first frameworks and ratings assessments.

Prior to Sylvera, Annalise worked in coral restoration and was a co-founder of a subsea remote sensing company. Annalise holds a MSc in Business Strategy and Innovation from University of Southampton.
