AAU:

Assigned Amount Unit - represents 1 tonne of GHG to be traded under the Kyoto Protocol, under the CDM. The other type of unit created under the CDM was the CER, which was much more common than the AAU. AAUs were produced in Annex B countries (mostly former Soviet Union).

Carbon Disclosure Project - Not-for-profit charity organization that holds datasets on organizations and carbon.

Credit Default Swap.

Verra:

The Verified Carbon Standard, Verra or VCS, formerly the Voluntary Carbon Standard, is a standard for certifying carbon emissions reductions. VCS is administered by Verra, a 501 not-for-profit organization.
