What is a Screen in carbon project evaluation?

A screen is a rapid assessment of a project, offering a concise overview of potential risks and key positives. Unlike a full project rating, which takes more time, a screen provides a quicker analysis focusing on four key pillars: carbon accounting, additionality, permanence, and co-benefits. Each screen is assigned an overall risk rating—low, mixed, or high—along with individual ratings for each pillar.

What challenges are Sylvera solving with Project Catalog?

The voluntary carbon market is fragmented with projects registered across different registries, making it hard to navigate the market and to easily find projects of interest. Our customers have to either get periodic downloads of registry data and reconcile it on spreadsheets or have to switch from one registry to another and manually normalise the data structure between registries to compare like for like projects. In Both cases, these tasks are time consuming.
